For our 'Motherhood, Startups & Government: Balancing Life and Leadership' event as part of @sparkfestivalau , City of Parramatta Councillor Hayley French and Shuoyan Zhu came together for an open, heartfelt conversation about both having recently welcomed their second child and how it intersects with leadership across government, startups, and community. 🌱
Through their stories, Hayley and Shuoyan reflected on the realities of balancing ambition and care, the evolution of identity through motherhood, and how this experience can deepen empathy, resilience, and purpose in leadership.
What made the session truly special was how everyone in the room was invited to share, listen, and learn from one another’s journeys, finding inspiration in each other's stories.
