Max Ovett’s @madmaximilliano birthday 🎂 climb today. His actual birthday is May 17th tomorrow. The weather was questionable today and no good for outdoor climbing tomorrow. We went to Lumpy Ridge and we planned to do Kor’s Flake but two parties had started quite early and were already on it. So we opted for English Opening and ended up having to bail do to bad weather and 2 surprisingly challenging climbing pitches for the grade that were slow leads for us. We had a great time and by the time we had rappelled back to the base it had gone from snow and light rain to sunny again. Go figure 🤷♂️ great to be out playing in the mountains 🏔️
A good evening in Ned 😀! Hot lap on bikes with @jseav19 on 🏴☠️’s before picking Ari up from Daycare. Early Mother’s Day gifts 🎁 from Ariana to Jenna. Plus pizza at @crosscutpizza 🤙. Thanks @singletrackboy for the quick new rear brake and new rotor fix @tinshedsports to get me out.

Big thanks to Caroline and Jack for organizing this and impressively hauling in their twin babies (Enzo’s age) 3 miles into the hut. With the snow being mostly melted out 2 miles on the road in and the last mile being snow we had the wrong equipment (kid chariot with skis only) and thankfully Max and Jack skied and ran back out to help us bring our kids and gear into the hut with a kid chariot that had wheels and skis.

Gusty and snowy conditions called for another indoor play day @dino.moves + cookie at @nedgeneralstore and then back to the house to stick all the @officialbluey characters in the snow ❄️ maybe 🤔 ski touring tomorrow?!
