There is profound power in cultural workers being afforded the time and space to unplug from the familiar and engage with new environments utilizing the same sensibilities --sensations and creative curiosity embedded in their practice -- as a spatial place maker as a wanderer of archival sites as a intermediary for the invisible I look forward to this immersive residency in Mississippi -- allowing me the time and place in space to wander and listen thank you @sippculture for fertilizing critical afro diasporic cultural production. Throughout our folk traditions, the market has always been the ultimate clearing—the central nervous system of our survival. It is the original site of information sharing, where the news of the ward is passed over tables of hot food. It is the site of network building, where the agrarian meets the artisan, flesh-to-flesh, soil-to-sole.
