About a month ago, Source Material celebrated its first birthday. As such, I wanted to take a second to say thank you to some people (long list incoming):
First and foremost, to the dancers. Thank you for coming, thank you for becoming familiar faces, for forming this small and loving community that has begun to feel like family. Your name is written in the heart of anything that this project is or could ever become—
To the DJs and live musicians, who together have brought the spirit of Source Material to life and into the world. In a sense we’ve imagined and reimagined that spirit all together, in a long and beautiful dialogue. Unfortunately not all of them are pictured here, and the list is too long to write, but they’re all tagged. I’m indebted to all of you—
To the designers, who made Source’s a friendly and familiar face. To
