Throwback @kilelesummit by @santuri_east_africa wasn’t just a performance—it was a live, interactive experience where the audience became part of the music. Using recycled instruments, we transformed forgotten materials into beats that connect, heal, and inspire. Thank you for bringing your energy and voices into the sound of renewal by @nilotikaculturalensemble 🌍🎶 #soundsofrenewal #kilelemusicsummit2025 #recycledrhythm #soundsofrenewal #musicforchange #nilotikaculturalensemble

Our practice of using waste as a primary material continues to evolve, transforming discarded materials into new artistic creations. As the practice grows, we have begun adapting traditional Ugandan weaving techniques, using our own recycled materials from plastic bottles to create a series of woven masks.
Staring @wakabianorld
We transformed discarded plastic Cavera's and bottles into an illuminated face , a symbol of renewal, resilience, and the spirits that live inside what the world throws away.
Every material remembers. Every sound heals. Every object can be reborn.
Stay with us for the next episodes when the mask receives its name
