Join us for the second iteration of the Open Signal Microcinema!
This is a public event, the screening is free with an optional donation.
We will be screening Guardian of the Land by LaRonn Katchia and scenes from the upcoming feature documentary Our Fire by Galen McCaw.
Guardian of the Land is a short film where cultural and community leaders of Nch'i-Wána (or Columbia River) tribes share perspectives and oral histories on America's most famous cryptid-Bigfoot, as a spiritual being that teaches one to enter into a relationship with the land.
Our Fire is an upcoming feature documentary which follows Klamath Tribal member Anna Merritt in her work to bring cultural fire back to life. Working alongside the Klamath Tribes Natural Resource Department the project explores land management, cultural revitalization, and first foods.
Come enjoy this special screening on Monday, April 27!

Yesterday marked 30 trips around the sun for Madison 🤍
To the girl who caught my eye a decade ago when she walked through the door on our first day of summer classin Costa Rica -
to the girl who cries at injustices, who fights tooth and nail to honor the humanity of the people around you -
to the girl who puts her friends and family before herself so easily and naturally -
I see you
I love you and your big heart

Thank you @directly_chance for shooting this for us we love you too!
Just wrapped production on a new short doc project for @nature_org and the Karuk Tribe
It’s all about their work building a healthier future through good fire - teaching tribal youth cultural burning in order to restore traditional land management practices
Feels really good to have been asked to make this - excited to get this put together and out into the world!

Excited to be heading back to Oregon soon!

Madison puts up with me pointing a camera at her way too often and I love her for it
She was just trying to get some water before bed but I needed to document

Planning to post some life updates from last year soon - a lot went down
I got married ♥️ got two grants for the feature documentary I’ve been working on (the first time I’ve secured significant funding myself for the project and a hurdle many indie projects struggle to get over), and was commissioned to direct a short doc project which was a big learning experience
Planning to finish shooting the feature doc this year and hoping for a busier year in the film industry all around
