Mochakk’s @mochakk India tour has been postponed. The Brazilian DJ’s four-city debut, scheduled for May 7 to 10 across Goa, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, will not be going ahead this week. The tour was set to land just 17 days after Mochakk closed Coachella’s Sahara Stage across both weekends in April, his self-described biggest gig to date. His track “Da Fonk” has crossed 55 million Spotify streams. Tickets had opened at ₹2,500 across Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, and ₹3,333 in Goa, sold via the District by Zomato app. The bigger picture is harder to ignore. The tour was being produced by Hyderabad-based promoter Sound Simplify @soundsimplify , the same outfit behind the Circoloco India debut that was cancelled hours before doors at Jio World Garden on April 19. Per Music Ally citing the Indian Express, Sound Simplify stood to absorb losses of around ₹10 crore on Circoloco alone. Mochakk now becomes the second major international booking the same promoter has had to pull in three weeks. A rescheduled date has not been announced. The audience is here. The artists want to come.
