D34b has been such a great experience for me. I’ve learned so much and met so many amazing people. I’m really going to miss this show and these people. Im coming for you D35.
Just wanted to share a life update. I’ve recently left my job with Feld Entertainment for lots of reasons.
I want to thank everyone I’ve met on the last several tours. I’ve learned so much from all of you. After touring for several years and traveling for nearly a decade I have learned so many new things and life lessons. I have found incredible friends from all over and I’m so grateful to have these friends in my life now.
I’ve decided to take some time away from touring to take care of myself now. Touring can be an amazing experience but in reality tour can be lonely, exhausting, frustrating, and isolating. After years of doing this and ignoring my mental health I’ve been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. Learning this wasn’t really surprising but having a diagnosis has made planning and healing easier. Years of touring has had a real impact on my mental health and I learned that it’s ok to take time for myself.
So for Valentine’s Day this year I wanted to remind people to love yourself first. Sometimes that can be really really hard. But you are the most important person in your own life. So take care of yourself.
Much love❤️
Flew my first show with D35 today! Here’s a cool POV of what I do during a fly. I love how locked in we get and how you can see how we are paying attention to every little movement and detail.
Huge shout out to @kingrobbork for being an amazing teacher and coach for this program.
Also shout out to @williamott93 and @adriene.ott for being so consistent and helpful while I learned this with them.
Also @nerdykelsey is a pretty good spotter I guess 😝
