hey ya'll! I'm playing some songs this Wednesday at the Sound Corner space where we've been recording interviews for Sound Corp and WUTC -- 1714 Duncan Ave from 6-8pm. We did this a few weeks ago and it was lots of fun. I'll play some family friendly tunes, Call Me Spinster will lead a community sing, and in between, my buddy Joshua Cruce is going to play a few songs too. He's so amazing, and after a couple years in Chattanooga, he's heading back out on the road to climb mountains and make new friends. So come see him while you can. Also then 10 bucks you donate at the door will go to Battle Academy to help pay field trip costs for kids so they can join the trip to Dollywood. Aaaaand if you donate 20 bucks, I'll give you a copy of my new novel. Between the music and the literature, that's hours of quality entertainment. And you get to help some kids go to Dollywood! Hell yeah. Join the party. @joshuacruce@soundcorps@callmespinster
Some of the best music youâll hear all year isnât trending.

I just got back from NYC where I played this song live with some of the most emotive, passionate dancers ever, @arielrivkadance . Iâm still on a high. It captures the frenetic, rippling shapes the dancers twist themselves into.

Once upon a time⌠(like, last month)
Two musicians, Lynne Welden and Lon Eldridge, were just at the finish line for their projects.
One album just needed to be pressed into CDs.
The other just needed to be mixed and mastered.
So they applied for a Producerâs Fund Grant.
And after review⌠we couldnât choose.
It was a tie!
So naturally⌠we turned them into paper puppets to make the announcement (sorry, not sorry).
Congratulations to Lynne and Lon đ
Weâre so proud of you both!.
SoundCorps exists to make music happen in Chattanooga. And, with people like Lynne and Lon, Chattanooga music just keeps getting better!

Hey ya'll! I wanted to let you know about two great hours of radio coming up this Friday from 10am to noon on WUTC. It's a celebration of the WUTC music department! At 10 I get to interview Dr. Roland Carter about the music and the music educators who influenced him. Segregation prevented him from attending UTC as a student, but he eventually became the head of the music department, and today a street through campus is named in his honor. Then at 11 we're headed to NYC, baby! Join me as I follow the UTC wind ensemble as they perform at Carnegie Hall! I interview students, professors, and even the UTC Chancellor. It's an exciting, funny, and surprisingly touching episode. I'm super proud of these shows, and I hope you can tune in!
