Back at the @thebombfactoryartfoundation Archway next Friday 27th, for an evening of improvisation, building, and holding space. sound structures takes shape as a durational group improvisation, and though sound does structure the night, the space is not limited to sound artists and musicians, all are welcome to join and hold space, resist listen, draw, write, dance, meditate, create - whatever moves you, whatever your soul is in need of. sound structures is an evening for musickers to gather and create, listen and hold space in a supportive environment. We run a ‘plug in and play’ ethos, and encourage sonic experimentation through improvisational collaboration. sound structures works as an open call operation, there are 12 channels on the mixer, 12 slots available for each session, there is also the possibility of presenting new, or works in progress for critical conversation – please DM us if that is the case. We encourage those who are not able to plug in on first request to come and join us for an evening of listening and community building. sound structures is a monthly event held on the last Friday of each month at @thebombfactoryartfoundation . No booking required. - There is much to be gained when we employ listening as an act of resistance. sound structures returns next week, Friday the 30th of May, 19:00 - 22:00, after nearly a years hiatus. We return in a slightly different format, with the aim being to provide a space for spontaneous sonic exchange and improvisational conversation. A space to play, to listen, to conspire. A space for resistance. Please do come with an instrument, a poem, a song, a pair of ears, if you would like to partake and contribute to the evenings proceedings. All are welcome, and invited to share in the experience, in whatever capacity that sounds like. Also, very excited to use the new [amalgamated] sound system[s] built by bill.
