Refuge is proud to welcome back Mike B. aka souldefunk - a multi-genre DJ based out of Orlando, FL. With 17 years of experience behind the decks, souldefunk’s sonic palette spans from drum and bass and jungle to 2step/UKG, deep/disco/funky/classic house and downtempo/chillout/hip hop, and jazz.
souldefunk can be found co-hosting @foundationexplorationdnb alongside DJ Redcoat on the 2nd Saturday of the month, where they explore Hardcore, Jungle and DnB from its roots in the 90s through to its recent iterations and beyond. He also has a hand in organizing Sqwerk’s semi-regular daytime park party Sqwerkin In The Park in Deland, FL. Always a fun day in the sun with a mix of genres and welcome to all.
Through his DJing souldefunk wants to facilitate a continuous flow of good vibes where the music is the focus and not the DJ. Always finding new rabbit holes to explore, the obsession hasn’t stopped for souldefunk. There’s always new artists and labels to explore and countless ways to creatively take the listener on a journey.

Soooooo excited and grateful to be welcomed back to play for the @refuge_nights fam. They have grown and nurtured a wonderful night of fantastic music over the past few years and it’s magic each time I’ve been able to attend. Can’t wait to listen to sets from fellow DJs @waytoospun@rat_galactic and @w__h__y__s and do my thing once again. @parchukes_parachutes always makes the ambience feel perfect and @vestpocketmgmt will have it bumpin with their Rude Boi sound system.
