Lowkey proud of this one. None of this happens without the team behind me and every single guest that supports SOST. Thank you!

Today was incredibly fulfilling. Co-Work & Connect — a space to fellowship, co-work, and connect — became something even deeper. It became a room where Black women showed up fully, sat in transparency, and openly shared both the wins and the realities of building in our respective spaces. There is something powerful about taking a moment to honor what we’ve accomplished and the rooms we continue to create for ourselves and one another. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and remained fully present. A special thank you to our panelists for their honesty, vulnerability, and transparency throughout the conversation. I’m already looking forward to next quarter’s theme.

AI didn’t make my job hunt easier. At first, it made it worse. I spent the first half of 2025 trying to reenter the job market. I wanted to use AI to send more applications and prep for interviews, but everything it produced sounded generic. It didn’t know my career. It didn’t sound like me. So I figured out how to give the tools real context. The interviews followed. On May 20, I’m sharing the whole system with my community at SOST. Free. Hands-on. Nothing that feels like a conference or TED talk. Bring your laptop and a copy of your resume if you want to follow along live. Otherwise come ready to listen and ask questions. Wed, May 20. 5–8 PM 1901 9th St NW Resto Lounge, 2nd Floor @sost.dc RSVP via Posh, link in bio. Know someone job hunting? Tag them below. I prayed for God to place me in the environment that would lead me to my purpose… I’ve been in alignment ever since 🕊️💖 I am so floored that this is where my journey as a barista has led me but I am more grateful than words can ever describe. So much thanks must go to my managers, coworkers (@samuealgg who has taught me everything I know), and my amazing customers who have not only helped me to become a great service provider but never forget to think of me for moments like this 💖

Closing out the semester the only way we know how… in community, conversation, and a little bit of softness 🤍 These last two gatherings were so special. From flowing through yoga with @ciarallat @cpy.shaw and intentionally slowing down, to celebrating one year of Sistas in Stories (still feels surreal 🥹), and diving into The Scammer — @writeinbk unpacking trust, intuition, and everything in between… every moment felt aligned. @sostcafe One of my favorite parts was us trying to find the similarities between Frazier University and Howard… What started as a simple idea has grown into a space I truly cherish. A space where we can show up fully, feel safe, think deeply, and just be. And that’s because of each and every one of you. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, shared, and poured into these experiences. Whether you’ve been here since day one or just found us, you are a part of this story 🫶🏾 One year down… and we’re just getting started ✨ With love, always. — Sistas in Stories 💌 #sistasinstories #bookclub #sost #corepower
