In less than 2 weeks, Tech Qyzdar Kazakhstan [https://techqyzdar.kz/] is having their first ever women in tech conference in Kazakhstan organized by Aliya Tyshkanbayeva Tech Qyzdar, cares a lot about inclusion and minorities receiving the opportunities they deserve. They have partnered up with a non-profit organization [donation link: https://gf.me/u/yj4izu] that is fighting the digital divide through the purchase and distribution of laptops and other equipment among children in need, primarily for those with special educational needs. 300,000 children in Kazakhstan do not have a personal computer. This is 10% of the total number of students in the country. The crisis caused by COVID-19 has shown that not all children have equal opportunities. It is in our hands to make this world a little fairer and help Kazakhstani school children get what they have not received. Our goal is to collect 1,000 units of computer equipment from companies and the population of Almaty and distribute them among students in need by the end of 2020.
