Hey y’all — my name is JP Vaughan, founder of SOS Dance and Stars of Swing. Five years ago, dance saved my life, and ever since, I’ve wanted to create something to provide that same support for others.
SOS Dance was built as a platform for people to share their stories, give back, and support causes that truly matter.
Over the next couple weeks I’ll be making more videos explaining what SOS dance is, getting into my own personal testimony and explaining where we plan to go as a brand.
From day one, I knew I wanted SOS to support the causes that have impacted me personally — suicide prevention and drug and alcohol abuse awareness. I never imagined that our very first drop would give me the chance to help someone so close to home.
If you knew me back in my Houston days, you knew one of my best friends, Steven Zarate. Recently, the Zarate family lost their youngest son to drug abuse. With all the love and support we’ve received from this first drop, I want to follow through on the mission behind this brand.
A portion of the proceeds from “Addicted Dancers” drop will go directly to the Zarate family to support them through this unimaginable loss. Please keep Steven and his family in your prayers.
