Two years ago, I embarked on a project that was very important to me. And during this two-year journey, I met many amazing people. Paola Madrid is invited to share a Flying Low workshop at Tictac 2-6 February. Don’t forget to register! Paola is a Mexican dancer based in Brussels, choreographer, and director of the company SORTA. She is a graduate of the Professional Dance School of Mazatlán, and developed and teaches a practise which she names Movement Research practice. In various dance programs and festivals across Mexico and Europe she also has been teaching Flying Low, Passing Through since 2013. Paola has been training with David Zambrano for over 10 years. Flying Low is a dance methodology, developed by David Zambrano. The workshop focuses mainly on the dancer’s relationship with the floor. The class utilizes simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the centre and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centered state. @sorta_project For more info & registration: follow the link in bio.
