I’ve been so fortunate to work for Pasadena Humane as a photographer a few times since moving to LA. And in 2021, I photographed a complete overhaul of their website, which is the one you see today. I remember their team was amazing and big time animal lovers, everyone on set was actual staff from the shelter who handled the animals. Pasadena Humane is accustomed to taking in hurt lost or wild animals and giving them the rehabilitation they need. During the Eaton fire they moved all of their adoptable dogs to another facility and brought in hundreds of strays who were displaced to get medically treated and eventually will be reconnected to their owners. I can’t express my gratitude for the work they are doing today. My heart breaks for the animals and, of course, all the families displaced from the fires that are still going. I have always connected with animals deeply and began my photography career shooting them. I also wanted to mention here that we ( @damn.good.dyke.nights & I ) will be donating to multiple non-profit charities with a portion of the proceeds from the next Hot Flash on Jan 25th including Pasadena Humane. Every ticket sold is a donation (link coming soon). I know there are many needy and worthy organizations, so we have also decided to donate proceeds from Hotter Flash on Jan 31st as well to other organizations in need in need —-TBD (suggestions welcome in the comments)
