Now that this short is officially COMPLETE 🥳, I can share these select stills!
On this project, I wanted to provide a subtle visual difference between two characters. I wanted the visual language to represent the individuals as a person. The entirety of the female protagonist’s shots were shot on Canon FD SSC lenses, while the male protagonist’s shots were shot on Carl Zeiss Jena lenses. The soft, warm look of the FDs contribute to her personality as a caring, emotional and loving. The more clinical, cooler look of the Jenas represent his ambition, passion and compassion. Shots with both in frame were shot on Angenieux HR zoom as a median between the two lens sets, and the finale scene was shot with a Sigma 18-35mm zoom for a clean, resolved, progressive look.
A lot of the overall look was accomplished through lighting, big thanks to @aboo6310 and @eaoohh for pulling it off. Another big part was the post colour grading, director wanting a vibrant, colourful look and I wanting a 16mm nitrate film feel, which @kai.philavanh accomplished amazingly. I'd like to thank all our crew for making our vision come to reality.

Started from Saint-Jean, France, 35 days of walk to Santiago de Compostela + 4 more days towards Finisterra, Spain. Total 900km (560 miles) on foot.

This walk started with a goal to find a peace of mind, to gain enlightenment, and ultimately to change myself.
Along the way I was shameful and in despair by the realization that no matter what I do, I cannot ‘change’ myself.
The peace of mind didn’t come from blindly erasing my flaws, but from accepting them.
My imperfection makes me a unique human, not just another character.
