Has my public toillet always been so liminal?
Voel jij je ook altijd zo gehaast op een publieke wc? Met dit project wou ik de ruimte van de wc digitaliseren. Je mag zo lang blijven zitten op een plek waar je normaal niet langer dan een paar minuten bent. De gore wc van de ns en de vunzige urinoir van een kraakpand nu in jouw vr bril.
Blijf lekker zitten. Je hebt alle tijd.

"What if you used your own body to control a instalation" that was the prompt we had for this project. We wanted a hands free intuative way to create interactivity. With the help of touchdesigner and a kinect to bring the project alive. For the location we put a beamer in a abandoned highschool theater which was temporarilly transformed into our stage. Our goal was to create a synergy between to people in which our movement affected color and the placement of the digital smoke. To both paint the canvas with our unique color and movements.
It was a blast to work together with @kunstlivoor and im gratefull for everyone that helped put this together.

"The dying dreams of silicon and circuitry"
This work is based of the 20th of oktober aws crash when over 1000 services lost function due to a bug. Aws is a massive server known as a hyperscaler and almost the whole north american continent runs on just 3 of those. Microsoft, google and amazon are in charge. The 20th oct crash showed us just how dependant we are on these services and what we stand to lose if these 30 year old infrastructures suddenly stop working.
This work showcases digital decay aided by 12 screen controlled at the same time showing the overwhelming complexity with meters of connected cables and flickering screens dividing the clips over 6 screens per module. It is a critisism of a unkown weakness in our digital infrastructure.

Hey ik ben Soof Slootwater! Van video tot stof, van internet memes naar bloedserieus en van algoritmes tot het riool ben ik van alle markten thuis. Ik zou mezelf een echte multi media kunstenaar noemen die nooit stilstaat en altijd bezig is met mijn eigen verhalen maken en vertellen.
Als ik niet met de kunstacademie bezig ben vind je me ergens in een kelder van een kraakpand een beamer opzetten of een collectie van de slechtste muziek die je ooit hebt gehoord maken.

De eerste @collectief_kreukelzone expo van het jaar zit er op. Bedank aan alle strijders die dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt en het enorm vette werk dat mensen hebben neergezet. Ook gelijk de eerste expo in onze nieuwe ateliers "big things comming" stay tuned.
Wst enorm vet om dit met al mn vrienden te mogen organiseren. T maakt het die shit waard.

Hey remember that one time i went to the sewers and made photographs? And remember when i made those photos of human waste into a design carpet? Fun times.
From dead rats, flushed away socks and water that could kill you with one sip to beautifull patterns that almost make you forget you are looking at sewage.

This was a scenic impression of the iron trade from the veluwe where i grew up. I went to all the places where iron was mined and proccesed and imagined me walking the same paths that the iron and the workers took 1200 years ago
