We had the pleasure of hosting part of #Wharf4Ward, one of the signature events by @sonyfoundation at Bellevue Woolloomooloo. Set over a long lunch on the harbour, the event brought together a mix of guests and support for young Australians facing cancer. Thank you to everyone who spent the afternoon with us!

šŸŽµšŸ’« Last month, Sony Foundation’s You Can Centre at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse welcomed special guests from Australian Idol, including 2026 winner @keshaneve.music , for a special meet & greet and music session with young people from our 'You Can' youth cancer network. It was a powerful morning of connection, with the group bonding over a shared love of music and the role it plays in getting them through their hardest moments.ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ The highlight was a jam session in the You Can Centre’s dedicated music room – a fully equipped studio powered by state-of-the-art @sonyaustralia equipment, designed as a creative escape for young patients during cancer treatment. Throughout the session, Idols @keshaneve.music @kalaniartis @__cynta__ and @harlan.goode led the group through hits from Crowded House and Taylor Swift, alongside beautiful original performances from youth cancer advocates, Sophia (@sophianoelleee ) and Jireh (@jireh.mp4 ), who have used songwriting as a powerful form of self-expression throughout their cancer journeys. The morning beautifully showcased Sony Foundation’s You Can Centres in action – dedicated spaces within adult hospitals, away from the wards, where young people aged 15–29 can rest, connect and create. Thank you to @australianidol for visiting and creating such a special morning for these incredible young people šŸ’› #SonyFoundation #YouCanCentre #YouCan #AustralianIdol

Huge congratulations to our incredible Sony Foundation team members Bella and Grace on completing their very first half marathon yesterday in Sydney! šŸƒā€ā™€ļøšŸŽ‰ An amazing achievement that’s been months in the making - full of dedication, early mornings, training sessions and a whole lot of commitment, all while raising funds for Sony Foundation. We are so proud of you both and everything you’ve accomplished šŸ‘šŸ’™ (But maybe at this year’s Christmas Party … we aim for a fundraising activity that’s a little easier?! šŸ˜‰). If any of our amazing supporters are setting their sights on a goal for 2026 and would like to fundraise for Sony Foundation, we’d love to hear from you - get in touch! šŸ’«

ā€œAdvocacy helps me find reason and purpose. I’m not the only one it’s happening to. It’s happening again and again.ā€ — Grace Kennedy, 2025 You Can Champion šŸ’› As we reflect on Youth Cancer Awareness Month in April, we wanted to shine a light on Sony Foundation’s ā€˜You Can’ youth cancer initiative and the vital programs helping ensure no young person faces cancer without the support they need. To mark this important month of advocacy, we’re honoured to share a recent interview with Youth Cancer Advocate and 2025 You Can Champion, Grace Kennedy (@graceankennedy ), in partnership with @austcommunitymedia , highlighting the impact that the right services and support can have on the health and wellbeing of young cancer patients during and after treatment. At just 21, Grace was diagnosed with a rare paediatric brain cancer, forcing her to relocate from Shellharbour to Sydney for over six months of treatment. Through Sony Foundation’s You Can Stay program, Grace and her family have been provided with over 200 nights of free accommodation close to her treating hospital, allowing her support network to remain by her side. Grace’s story reflects a broader reality: 1 in 3 young people with cancer are from regional areas, where distance can be a major barrier to care. With youth cancer rates rising, Sony Foundation remains committed to funding and advocating for programs and services that ensure no young person faces cancer alone – no matter where they live. #YouthCancerAwarenessMonth #YCAM #SonyFoundation #YouCan #YouCanStay

ā›³ļø Driving change for young Australians with cancer On 5 March, Sony Foundation was proud to once again be the beneficiary of the 5th annual You Can Golf Day at Concord Golf Club, hosted by Raj Nanra, CEO of @sleworldwideau šŸŒļø Bringing together members of the insurance industry, the day was a powerful show of support for Sony Foundation’s national youth cancer initiative ā€˜You Can’, helping to bridge the gap in cancer care for young Australians aged 15-29. Sony Foundation General Manager Sarah Potts had the privilege of speaking at the event, alongside Youth Cancer Services representative Cath O’Dwyer, who shared the real and lasting impact Sony Foundation’s You Can programs and services have on young cancer patients and their families. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of everyone involved, raising over $43,000 to help deliver vital youth cancer care and support across Australia. A huge thank you to @charitychal and @sleworldwideau for making this event possible, and to everyone who contributed to such a meaningful day. It’s through the support of partners like these that we can continue to expand our impact and reach more young Australians in needšŸ’™ #SonyFoundation #YouCan #YouthCancer
