From rinsing @ukf uploads in secondary school with all my mates… to having my own track premiere there 🤯 I started making music at 14 because of this channel. I’m 31 now, and somehow that same dream has come full circle. Honestly, it’s hard to put into words the pride and joy I’m feeling right now. Huge thank you to @1.more.thing.uk for believing in me and letting me represent the label, and to @dave.columbo.jenkins for helping make a 14 year old kid’s dream come true all these years later. 🎨 2025 - The artwork 🎨 2025 has been a transformative year for us as we've really started to find our voice and vibe as a label. One really important thing for me has been that the artists get creative control over their cover art.  This has become an important part of the process for us and every time I tell a new artist that this is how we do things, they smile and get super inspired. It's always led to different and interesting things.  Many have chosen to do their own. Some, like Bairn and Deerhill, are visual artists already and have smashed their art (both now having done art or collaborated on art for other releases on the label since!) Other artists like Scartip, Sonnet and Woosh are very talented at picking up new skills and really buzz off that and have a natural eye. Fireworks Factory, Lakeway and Dysfunction have a vision and love communicating that with a collaborator and enjoy sharing their vision (this has led to me, Dave, doing a few artworks which is beyond any expectations I had of running a label) And Quentin Hiatus has been using his own guy across multiple labels for years.  This approach has led to so many different styles and methods and approaches including working with Merny, one of my all time favourite artists, on Lakeway's debut album. Admittedly it's a policy influenced a lot by budget - or lack of it - but the results were really quick to see and set this method as part of our release process... Our artists are really happy and empowered, the cover art really resembles the music and has its own character that stands out in its own unique way.  Who knows what type of wonderful visuals we will have next year. Things i know for sure... 🎨 We will never be uniform. 🎨 We will never be bland. 🎨 The artwork will rep the music and the artist and not the brand. 🎨 We will always have A LOT of pretty and chaotic bright, bold colours and ideas. My only request is that the logo is clearly on show! What's your favourite artwork we've had this year?

The end of the year always brings the inevitable streaming numbers post. While that’s all good, I wanted to do something a little different and just post some cool pictures of the places I’ve dj’d or the people I’ve met in my first year making music under the alias Sonnet. Got a lot of big things planned for 2026. Hopefully next years post will be even bigger! Thanks to all that have bought and listened to my music. Callum x
