Sonic Guild will award eight $7,500 grants to working music producers in Austin and Seattle creating new work with artists who could not otherwise afford professional production.
This grant honors the legacy of George Reiff, a beloved producer, musician, mentor, and champion of artists whose generosity and creative spirit helped shape countless records and careers.
Producers are often the invisible force behind great music. This program exists to support the people helping artists bring ambitious work to life.

📢Sonic Guild Austin has a new Executive Director: Bobby Garza.
A longtime Austin music and cultural leader, Bobby brings more than 25 years of experience supporting artists, producing iconic events, and building community around live music, from Fun Fun Fun Fest and Levitation to The Drop-In at the Long Center.
“There are only a handful of positions in Austin that are directly impactful to musicians,” Bobby shared. “Sonic Guild has created an incredible model that can be built upon to further help provide avenues for artists to succeed and hone their craft.”
Bobby steps into the role following 18 months of leadership from Dave Verratti, who helped guide the Austin chapter through an important period of transition with care and belief in the mission.
Since 2013, Sonic Guild has invested more than $7.3 million into local music, supporting over 300 bands and more than 1,000 musicians across Austin, Seattle, and Denver.
Join us in welcoming Bobby into this next chapter for Sonic Guild Austin.
Read more in the Austin Chronicle, and come meet Bobby at upcoming member showcases on May 21 and May 30.

Saturday night at The Goose.
Sonic Guild members gathered at a private Hill Country hideaway above Lake Travis, a place many of our grantees have spent time creating, for a night of music up close with Lemongrass, Caroline Hale, and nolo.
This is the work. Creating spaces where artists and audiences can meet in a real way, where the room stays quiet, the songs land, and the connection is felt.
Membership makes nights like this possible, and supports the artists far beyond the stage.

Last weekend, 700+ people showed up for Austin music.
Together, we raised over $20,000 for local artists and welcomed 15 new members into this community and counting.
We’re keeping that momentum going.
For a limited time, you can join Sonic Guild for $650 (normally $750) and get a full year of membership, supporting artists, live events, and a stronger independent music community in Austin.
We’re also continuing our private concert raffle:
• Every new member is automatically entered
• Existing members can enter by:
– Referring a new member
– Donating in $50 increments
We’re currently at 15 new members. If we reach 20, we’ll unlock a second private house (or office) concert.
Winners will be drawn the week of April 7.
