APRA AMCOS Aotearoa, with support from NZ On Air and the NZ Music Commission, are beyond stoked to begin our first SongHubs of 2026 - as well introduce you to our twelve participants - tomorrow. Watch this space. 👀
The week-long songwriting retreat will be held at Auckland's Roundhead Studios, 12-17 May, and will be steered by internationally acclaimed guest writers: NAVVY, Elizabeth Stokes, Rhys Lewis, and Jenn Decilveo.

Known for punchy drums, heavy synths, and club-ready energy, he’s contributed to a huge portion of British rapper and singer M.I.A.’s latest seventh studio album, M.I.7., including the lead single “EVERYTHING” 💫

SongHubs Academy returns to Perth this May, offering emerging songwriters the opportunity to develop their craft in a collaborative and supportive environment! 🌟
Noongar electro indie-pop singer songwriter and producer @booxkid will facilitate the sessions, taking place 10am - 6pm daily on 30 & 31 May.
12x positions are available for APRA AMCOS members aged 18 and over.
Boox Kid is a First Nation (Noongar) artist blending dreamy electropop with cross-genre versatility. A prominent performer, Boox has graced stages at BIGSOUND, Nannup Music Festival, and Perth Festival, and supported acts like George Ezra and Jen Cloher. Beyond his original music, Boox has showcased his talent in Noongar-language operas, Koolbardi Wer Wardong and Wundig Wer Wilura, and debuted as a sound designer in Yirra Yakkin’s Operation Boomerang. An advocate for First Nations artists, Boox participated in the APRA AMCOS RESONATE program, collaborating with artists like Jem Cassar-Daly, Cloe Terare and Candice Lorrae.

@peachprc has made a standout debut on the ARIA charts with her first album Porcelain, marking a new milestone for the pop artist and 2024 Songhubs 100 curator!
The record has landed at No. 1 on the Australian Albums Chart, alongside a strong showing at No. 4 on both the ARIA Albums and Vinyl Albums charts.
‘Oasis,’ written by @peachprc@harrycharleshatesmusic@jbach and @dominikfelsmann during the camp, features on the album.
The project also includes collaborations with SongHubs 100 writers Harry Charles, Konstantin Kersting, and Carla Wehbe.

The festival will take place at the Southbank Centre from June 11 to June 21.

Hosted by @konstikersting@dannyharley__@dominikfelsmann — a multi‑platinum, multi‑ARIA Award‑winning team with over 15 billion combined streams and co‑owners of Brisbane’s 4000 Studios.
This program is designed to take you beyond making records and into operating at an international industry level.
Across the week, participants will collaborate in curated writing teams, work to real-world briefs, gain insight into publishing, royalties and revenue streams, and walk away with new music and meaningful creative connections.
With only 8 positions available nationwide, applicants must be available for all five days:

We’re excited to announce that SongHubs Academy is returning with @thatboykwame 🤍💫
Emerging Sydney-based African-Australian songwriters and producers aged 18+ are invited to apply for SongHubs Academy - a FREE 6-week collaborative songwriting program running throughout May and June!
Hosted at City of Sydney Creative Studios, this program offers participants the chance to collaborate, sharpen their songwriting and production skills, and build meaningful creative connections with like-minded artists. By the end of the program, participants will also walk away with newly recorded music.
There are 12 x positions available for APRA AMCOS members, and applicants must be available for all six consecutive weeks.
