Feels long overdue to make a post like this ~
All you internet friends know me as sondergraphs. Some of you may know my name (Paris) but most just know me as this username. The username sondergraphs has sparked much confusion! So I am here to tell you what it means and also who I am besides this funny word.
4+ years ago I decided it was time for a business name that felt true to me. I very much so just looked up “20 most beautiful words and their meaning” on google and found the word sonder. The feeling you get when you see someone and realize they are living and experiencing their own life and reality. Being that that’s a lot like seeing a beautiful image and realizing it is a unique experience captured on frame, I decided sonder+graphs was exactly right for me.
Besides photography, I am a painter, writer, reader, nature lover, and full time dog mom. I grew up on tumblr and rookie mag and 80s dream pop. My favorite things to do other than taking photos is traveling and being in nature with my partner Matt and our dog Daisy.
Matt is my dude, my best friend. He is my other half when it comes to shooting weddings. From being a trusted second shooter to being the man behind the super 8 camera, he is a true partner in life and in art. When we shoot your wedding you can guarantee he will end up on the dance floor making sure your guests are having the best night of their life.
I pull my inspiration from my favorite movies (too many to list but every ghibli movie is on it), a million different fiction and art books, the nature of the PNW, and the people in my life. Art is something that my life has always revolved around. Everyone in my family is an artist in some way, and I was raised with creation being a priority.
There is a lot to me and who I am, more than could ever be shared in an Instagram post. BUT I hope this helps those who don’t know me and may want to work with me to put a face to the name and a name to the username❣️

Your senior portraits if you were a cheerleader from a 90s indie horror movie 🍂
Was not feeling like doing Halloween photoshoots this year but something shifted and now I’m in the mood to get some eerie freaky spooky things in the works. This shoot was the momentum I needed and the reminder that great photos and concepts don’t always need to be thought through - but rather done leisurely with friends with the ability to flow and adjust to what feels right.
