Have you ever heard of the so-called German forest soul?
nature romanticism, nature mysticism, proximity to esoteric thinking and practices, as well as performing rituals in nature - just some manifestations which are not only practices and thoughts of right wing extremists, but are also ways to live, implement and transport their ideology. a continuous line from the past, at times around 90 years ago, when it was spoken of the "German forest soul" being essential for. survival of the Germans.
already a while ago i started this new project called "deutsche landschaft" and it will probably keep me busy for some future years to come.
this project deals with right wing extremists active in nature conservation and ecological land-use in order to transport their ideology.
So far it has elements of traveling back in time, de-constructing policies and visual material and many further steps such as photographical botanical fieldwork.
