"Food, Water, Fuel" is out now :') this is the first song I've released under my given name, which feels appropriate, as it's about a recent time in my life when I was doing some soul searching.
I found myself craving what felt like incompatible forces: autonomy/adventure and connection/rootedness. Ultimately, I've realized that the right environment doesn't feel like a compromise. Rather, it's necessary and possible to find the community that will amplify and actualize your freakiest ideas.

Big announcement! Calling @damien.verrett a new project feels a little ridiculous. This body of work really began when I first picked up a guitar over 20 years ago.
Through the different bands and genres Iāve played in, I often felt I needed a container for the straight up finger pickinā, singer-songwritinā tunes that slipped through the cracks.
Itās taken time, but I finally feel confident in my skin, with my craft and creativity. Veils and costumes are fun, but nothing compares to true stories stirring real air.
I donāt know if what I have right now is an āalbum,ā but it is a batch of music you havenāt heard yet. You might even catch me playing it live soon š
