Don’t Blink, 2025 @fakewhalestudio@fakewhalestudio is an experimental project and research platform founded by @fakewhale_xyz exploring the frontiers of image-making at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advanced rendering, and emerging digital languages.
The project not only produces artworks but also fosters critical inquiry, redefining and investigating the relationship between imagery and AI while questioning the future of visual representation.
Don’t Blink is part of a new video series in which realism takes on an increasingly central role. In the video, autonomous drones move freely through space, painting as they interact with installations within the scene. The creative process unfolds as a fluid interaction between drones, video representation, and space. More than mere executors of a predefined task, the drones actively respond to the visual and physical conditions of the emulated environment. Through their movements and traces of spray paint, they become dynamic agents in the composition.
The result is an artwork within an artwork, where AI is not just a tool but an autonomous force engaging with an emulated physical reality redefining the act of painting within a new creative dimension.
