Today @humanpuzzledm came to the studio and knocked out 4 deadly tracks start to finish! @cool.hand__ ripped all guitars 5 times plus bass tracks! . @43_percent_turnt_ tracked drums in less than two hours and even wrote a new part and punched in without a click or scratch track and had a cool unique hat. V hard to do! @mattdrinksbleach is a very well trained and adaptable extreme music vocalist and didn’t even do the cool pig squeal thing to flex. Kept it death and did it fast . I did a new room mic thing after three years of tryin to figure out what to do and that’s just fuckin great. Thanks dudes !!

History! Established in the late 1970s by siblings Michael and Trevor Bailey, Channel One SoundSystem originated when they were passed control of their father’s Admiral Bailey sound.They introduced the sound to nearby blues parties and dance events. The choice of the name Channel One was a tribute to the iconic Channel One studio in Jamaica, a place from which the brothers procured many of their records.
During this era, accessing new reggae music proved challenging for Jamaicans, as it was not featured on radio or in local nightclubs. Instead, the communities organized blues parties and shabeens, where sound systems played the latest and most popular reggae tracks.
Channel One is led by Mikey Dread, original selector, who plays a strictly vinyl selection from his one turn table. Alongside Mikey Dread are various vocalists and MCs who compliment the music with Rastafarian song and chanting. Current MCs are Macky Banton and Ras Sherby. Channel One play a unique selection of conscious reggae, exclusive dubplates and uplifting steppas. Channel One’s hand built sound system provides a rich heavyweight bass sound, which compliments their tight selection of old and new roots music.Channel One’s mission is “to break down barriers via reggae music”, they have achieved this
by travelling and playing to new audiences and venues all over the world

I met every single person on this split through Make.Shift art space 2021-2022ish . I got a job at an art space and went on a serious side quest to start recording bands and putting out records.
Years later , via under market studio rentals , internships, first shows, outdoor pandemic shows, drag shows, art shows, new jobs, happys, sads and figuring out how to be like kinda in charge but it’s up to you guys what we do in the end we have all gotten to level up and be leaders in our community by supporting each other through the beginning of “ oh what the fuck could this hurt “ noble yet artistic goals to - whatever let’s start a label with an art department and have a venue and invite everyone that might not know about it.

These songs started as screaming into damp practice space walls in the early moments of us getting to know each other. Now they've become so much more because of Kelly, this release with @duostheband , and the people we've met and bonded with through forming this band (that's you! We're so lucky to know you).
