Help us stock the shelves and support local families in need! 🥫 We’re collecting non-perishable food items for our local pantry — every donation makes a difference. Let’s come together to fight hunger in our community! 📍Dontate now: link in bio!

This Mother’s Day, the women of SOME were reminded just how deeply valued they are. Volunteer Maria Detherage and her team transformed Isaiah House into a Ladies Pink Boutique, complete with roses, pampering items, music, and a beautifully curated selection of clothing, shoes, purses, and gifts. A space where mothers could be celebrated, seen, and reminded that they are deeply valued by their community. Moments like these are a reminder that joy is care, and care is community. Grateful to SOME staff and every volunteer who made this celebration possible. 🌷

A quick look back at SOME's Housing Programs Open House and Orientation at the Conway Center. We welcomed individuals and families for a closer look at current and upcoming housing opportunities, with space to connect directly with staff and get clear on next steps. Thanks to every staff member who helped make our resources more accessible.

As part of our April Acts of Service in D.C., ASPPH staff volunteered with SOME (So Others Might Eat) on April 28, supporting lunch service at the SOME Dining Hall. We were proud to assist an organization that has served the D.C. community for decades through food access, housing, healthcare, and workforce development programs. In addition, our remote staff participated in volunteer efforts with FeedNC and Minute Man National Historical Park, supporting their missions and meeting local community needs. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support their important work!

Volunteers make a real difference for CET students like Shay Davis. 💙 From one-on-one resume support to mock interviews and building essential soft skills, they help her show up confident and prepared for what’s next. We're thankful to everyone who shows up, gives their time, and helps our students succeed this #nationalvolunteerweek
