There’s something quietly joyful about slowing down and creating with your hands. Register your children to this fun experience!
We are back this summer with Saturday Art Classes throughout May! The classes carry the same warmth, curiosity, and depth that has shaped our past workshops.
From observing light and shadow in still life, to getting lost in portrait studies, to the tactile joy of paper mâché and printmaking… each session becomes a space where art is learnt and also experienced.
Looking back at our previous workshops, what stays with us is not just the artworks created, but the atmosphere in the room, children interacting with each other, and also absorbed in their process, rediscovering focus, play, and expression.
Please find all the details in slide one and contact +91-9104060850 to register.

Samvit Joshi
He explores the human condition, seeking optimism amid cruelty and searching for a gentler future.
His work centers on grotesque creatures-conduits for expressions born from personal anxiety. These figures are at once comical and pitiful, appearing more frightened than frightening.
Though monstrous, they remain profoundly human in their helplessness. As they navigate life’s absurdities, they mirror our own search for direction. Ultimately, his work suggests that humanity is defined not by logic or
rationalization, but by a desperate, irrational need for purpose and meaning in an indifferent world.

'What I Once Called Home'
Oil pastel on paper.
It's been almost four years since I drew anything that didn't have a human(oid) figure in it. It was a bit nerve-racking to be honest. But the idea came to me when I shifted studios last year.
My old studio is barely a kilometre away from the new one, and I pass by it everyday - yet now it feels so alien and out of reach. It makes me so uneasy every time I see the building - a storage space of memories I left behind.
I've lived almost my entire life in the same house, and the entire area is being 're-developed'. I see buildings around me torn down and our apartment will eventually have to be vacated as well. Not sure how I'll deal with that when the time comes.
Anyway, here I've drawn the balcony where I used to take smoke breaks while working, except it looks out at a deserted landscape, mirroring the vacant room inside. A bit on the nose, as far as metaphors go, sorry.
