Originating in 2011 from the vibrant musical scene of Oakland, California, Some Ember has since become a prominent figure in the minimal synth and DIY communities across the Bay Area, Berlin, and now Los Angeles. Fueled by the dynamic collaboration with the remarkable Marisa Prietto (Bizoux, Wax Idols, Glaare), Some Ember’s performances are nothing short of dramatic, with the duo’s powerful voices and commanding presence taking center stage. Always exploring themes of immanence and renewal, Some Ember’s sound is characterized by a perfect blend of self-produced electronics, creating an immersive and danceable experience. Their musical journey includes notable releases such as LPs on Third Coming and Dream Recordings, cassettes on Night-People, Ascetic House, and Crash Symbols, along with the recent self-released EP ”Held a Fragment of the Moon” and the captivating new single ”Pendulum”.
