Celebrating the release of his latest LP, "Bathhouse Blues", for the influential UK label, Sferic, Jake is making his Austin debut. "A highly immersive exercise in blissed worldbuilding." - Boomkat PLUME GIRL (@plume_girl_ ):  Plume Girl is the alt-experimental solo project of Hindustani classical singer and composer, Sowmya Somanath. Plume Girl’s songs sit between ambient music and emotionally-encumbered pop. In front of backdrops comprising sundrenched drones or glitches, sketched out beats, and criss-crossing glissandi or flutes, Somanath both murmurs intimately and spirals upwards into soaring choruses. PATINA LUSH (@patinalush ):  Through tape manipulation and digital processing, Patina Lush delicately weaves dedicated instrumentation with out-of-time looped interplay. Contemplative melodicism emerging from asymmetrical arrangements harbor fluid yet determined suspension of structures. GI GI (@keptmale ):  Gi Gi trods his own path of introspective, nu-age-infused ambient scapes and trip-hop-laced downtempo divagations. Gi Gi's sample-based work is a distinctively soothing mix of exotic dub shades, lushly textured envelopes, and smooth loungey jazz accents. PRIVATE SERVICE (@private.srvc ):  Combining elements of techno, dark ambient, body music, and dub, Private Service channels her anxiety into sonic form. Multiple forms of synthesis, samples, and field recordings are manipulated to create a dance soundtrack for our alienated world. SALIYAH (@saliyahmusic ): From ambient field recordings to breaks to trance to dub techno, Saliyah's work has a little bit of everything. Experimental and brutal yet beautiful.

Out 12/15: Holy Water "Slow Dissolve" Cassette and digital pre-order now available We are thrilled to announce that our final release of 2023 will come from Austin's Classically-driven, Sludge-leaning Post-Punk outfit, Holy Water. With this new work entitled "Slow Dissolve", we find Jasper Den Hartigh, the vibrant imagination behind HW, taking cues from a variety of approaches resulting in a somber yet raw and cutting form of music unique solely to this project. Throughout "Slow Dissolve" somber string and piano arrangements are draped as a gauze-like backdrop for sharply executed guitars seemlessly fluctuating between blackened, angular and dense while Jasper's signature low register voice proclaims from deep in the mix. The songs, on the whole, feel like something familiar from the post-punk and goth world, but re-imagined in a way as if Kowloon Walled City invited Amber Asylum to aid in an autumnal hymn. Whether seen as a heavy type of Goth Rock or Classically motivated Post-Punk, Holy Water's "Slow Dissolve" is an exquisite reflection of distillation and refinement. The tracks "Pit, Covered" and "Back of The Head" can now be streamed. Digital and cassette pre-orders now available.

Out August 18th: Televangelist "Flowers" Cassette/Digital Pre-orders now available Sitting firmly in a liminal space between breakcore, noise, hip-hop and sheer electronic experimentation is the hallucinagenic schizo-environment of up and coming New York/Austin artist, Televangelist. With their debut Somatic release "Flowers", Dissonant synths slip through the dilated pupils of quick tempered melodies as they clench to the reigns of consistently shifting beat passages. Stuttering, pitch whirled rap mantras weave seamlessly through the mix, upping the intensity as one movement comes crashing into the next. "Flowers" is a collection of tracks for the true club-hungry psychonaut. The track "Mice" is now up for streaming via Bandcamp.

Out 6/9: Masoller/Cementation Anxiety Split Pre-orders now available East Coast experimentalists Masoller and Cementation Anxiety team up for a complimentary mix of sullen, moody melodies and subterranean drone. PA's Masoller takes side A by delivering book ends of brisk yet washed out sheets of synth melodies with bursts of digitally smattered noise filled between. The calmness of Beyond Painting-era Turman has entered the Hotel Paral.lel. On the B side are four beautifully crafted tracks by New Jersey's Cementation Anxiety. Sprawling guitar passages weave somnambulent tales as if, from some ancient hall, the sounds of Roy Montgomery and Robin Guthrie transmit a crumbling wisdom. The tracks "Faltering" and "Lavent6" are now available for streaming through Bandcamp.
