For the fourth year, @solvenergy 's PowerUp! Renewable Energy Scholarship will award $1,500 each to six high school seniors pursuing careers that strengthen the solar and storage workforce. One scholarship is dedicated to an Indigenous student, extending our longstanding work within Native communities to increase representation in energy careers.
PowerUp! is one piece of a larger investment in K-12 STEAM education, curriculum development near our project sites, and hands-on learning programs like Skip the Grid. Professionals from @clenerarenewableenergy , @solsystemsinsta , and WTEC join our review panel again in 2026.

SOLV Energy broke ground this week on El Patrimonio, a new solar project in Bexar County, Texas, with Ashtrom Renewable Energy.
El Patrimonio is the first project SOLV Energy has built alongside Ashtrom. Construction wraps in 2027, with SOLV Energy's scope spanning construction, long-term operations, and community engagement along the way.
Last month, the El Patrimonio team spent a volunteer shift at the San Antonio Food Bank, packaging 9,265 meals. Each volunteer hour translates to a $25 credit through SOLV's Dollars for Doers program for nonprofit giving.

Most students who would actually win this scholarship, might talk themselves out of applying first. Between part-time shifts and helping out at home, they decide a flashier resume must already be in the running and skip the form altogether.
PowerUp! was funded to disprove exactly that assumption.
Applications close May 29. Eligibility runs to graduating seniors moving toward renewable energy, whether their next step is a trade school, community college, or university.

Our team gleaned and packed during a single shift with Feeding San Diego this last Earth Day, headed for the School Pantry Program and other community channels that feed neighbors facing food insecurity across the county.
Big appreciation to Allison, AnnMarie, Clay, and the rest of the Feeding San Diego team for setting up the day and walking everyone through the work.

SOLV Energy served as EPC for Adapture Renewables on Cherry Valley Solar I. A 135 MW solar site, joining Cross Country, Arkansas — ribbon freshly cut.
At full output, the site will power an estimated 30,000 homes a year and generate $13.7 million in lifetime tax revenue, with $3.75 million flowing directly to the Cross County school district.
Highlights from the build: a 600-pound crawfish boil for 150 neighbors, a scoreboard donated to a local school, and leftover rock passed along to the city.
