I’ve always loved romance, music, movies, poetry, and drama, fitting for a salon owner.
I’ve noticed stories often end when the love begins. In business, that’s when the real story starts. Opening a salon is exciting. The vision, the design, the people who choose you as their leader. Then come the breakdowns, emergencies, disappointments, and the unpretty moments behind the pretty place.
While it may look like you’re living your best life, most days are spent behind a computer, on hard calls, or in tough conversations. I’ve worn my Jordache overalls through broken water heaters, floods, and even heartbreak, showing up every day with a smile because growth always lives on the other side of hard things.
Owning a small business has been the greatest ride of my life. The greatest value of all is the trust our clients, YOU, have poured into us since day one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Solo isn’t just about hair. It’s about community, connection, and teamwork. I’m endlessly grateful for our team, our leaders, our educators, and every person who’s been part of this journey.
With 20 years of love and gratitude 🤍
Kristine
