At the end of April I was asked to be Technical Director and supplier on a project involving 7 events over 5 days by our client @seagency1 in the idyllic @powerscourthotel. The first event was a welcome drinks with live piano music and speeches. We used a stereo matched pair of #dpa4060 microphones on radio packs to capture the grand piano wirelessly into our #behringerflow8 and a pair of #ldsystemsmaui44g2 to cover the area. We also provided uplighters around the reception. Neat and tidy as always. @solitaire_sound

Also last night over in Skerries Library we supplied a small PA with radio mics and recording facilities along with some lights and stage for the Laureate Of Irish Fiction event for @artscouncilireland. @solitaire_sound

Just arrived. @sennheiser #ewdxem2 dual channel receiver with 2 Handheld mics. We use a lot of these twin packs for small drinks reception speeches. Complete with beltpacks, instrument cables and lapel mics for full flexibility @solitaire_sound

What’s astonishing about the atmosphere at an @anunacorp performance is that you can literally hear a pin drop from the moment this choir enters the space throughout the entire set and then have the guests #raisetheroof , in an extraordinarily loud manner when the #mouthmusic halts. It’s like nothing else. And it’s raw emotion. Just amazing, thank you so much.And the other #rockstar to thank is #AlanWhelan @solitaire_sound for truly appreciating the delicate subtleties and aural nuances of the choir’s voice - your engineering was topnotch tonight.

Photos below are the drinks reception. Spread across several rooms we used radio systems to feed all the speakers to save running cables everywhere and to keep everything very tidy.

Certain “friends” are making fun of us for being a sound company buying lights. We have also been adding to speakers, round base stands, cables etc., these arrived today as well. Midas DL251 on test after service. Give us a call if you are planning an event. We actually provide sound ,lights, visuals, stage and crew. We have some very big projects coming in the next couple of weeks. Watch this space. @solitaire_sound
