Mile 75, middle of the night, eating my 15th (at least) piece of quesadilla. At this point in a 100 miler I am usually seriously questioning my life decisions but this smile was genuine - I was actually feeling happy?!? I went into Rio Del Lago knowing I was a little undertrained and just planned to take care of myself and "run with joy" as @fujiveronica and @foggypaws like to say. 😃 And it worked! Yes my feet hurt, I was slow and the section from Horseshoe Bar back to Granite Beach kinda sucked but I had zero mental lows (or stomach issues). I owe a huge thank you to my pacers @kpronske and Selvin and my crew @debbie421 and @saucy_jossy - and to all my trail friends I saw out on the course, at the finish line and that were cheering me on from afar (and of course the volunteers) - you all fucking rock! ♥️♥️♥️ #ultrarunning #trailrunning #rdl100 #riodellago100
