I’m self explorative, childish wanderer looking for my own path and place. Sucking inspiration from tales of streets and adventures on no mans land as well as prohibited areas. Movement and bright liveliness in my art kills the grayness around me piece by piece.

I am a 23-year-old self-taught artist from Jyväskylä. For me, Fine Art is the strongest means of self-expression, which is inextricably linked to identity and thus also to the way of perceiving the world around us.
The purpose of my art is to spark a discussion about the abuse and violence experienced by children. The theme of SolidArt Fest is a solidarity movement, and I think the cornerstone of solidarity is supporting people in a weaker position and addressing social problems, which I also strive for in my own artwork. I hope my art will provoke thoughts in the viewers, causing a discussion about an important topic.

Please welcome the last one of our three judges: RIA
Ria is a dancer and hip hop head from Oulu, Finland. She has worked as a dancer and dance teacher since 2014.
From the beginning of her career she has strived for keeping hip hop culture alive and building the local street dance scene in Finland. Battling, travelling for dance events and producing events are all important aspects of Ria’s life.
Ria’s main dance styles are hip hop, house and popping in which she has gained experience and knowledge on over the years. She has studied in Åsa Folkhögskola in Sweden to deepen her knowledge in hip hop culture and dance.
In less than 2 weeks we will gather together for dance, music and art in Jyväskylä <3

Introducing one of our three dj’s!
Andrii Gregul is widely known in breaking scene as B-boy Pluto, originally from Kiev/Ukraine representing Ruffneck Attack Crew and he has been dancing for over 20 years and DJing for over 10 years.
Since he started DJ’ing he picked up a lot of experience by spinning local jams, parties and battles in Ukraine such as: Concrete Under My Feet, Ruffneck Attack Anniversary, Tunes Attack, Fast Bodies Anniversary etc, and later on after he moved to Helsinki/Finland he continued expanding internationally and started spinning in counties all over Europe like Finland, Denmark, Germany, Latvia etc.
You could have heard him spinning at breaking and hip-hop battles like Call out Suomi, Breiq, Sade Sundays, Saiffa Saturdays, KKC House Jam, Loop The Break etc.

Järjestämme tapahtumaa nimeltä SolidArt Fest, Jyväskylään 12.-13.4.2024 yhteistyössä Euroopan solidaarisuusjoukkojen kanssa. Tapahtuma yhdistää musiikkia, tanssia sekä kuvataidetta ja pitää sisällään tanssijamit ja battlet, livebändin, tanssityöpajan ja taidenäyttelyn.
Taidenäyttelyn avoin haku on tällä hetkellä auki ja etsimme kahta taiteilijaa: yhtä videotaiteilijaa ja yhtä kuvataiteilijaa. Haku on suunnattu 18-29-vuotiaille aloitteleville tai ammattitaiteilijoille. Avoimen haun teemana on ’’Movement in solidarity’’.
Englanninkielinen haku päättyy torstaina 28.3.2024 klo 00:00. Jokainen taiteilija saa 150e korvauksen. Näyttely on Lähteellä, yliopistokampuksella n.viikon ennen tapahtumaa ja viikko tapahtuman jälkeen. Haku on auki nettisivuillamme.

In Co-operations with the European solidarity corps, SolidArt Fest dives deep into music, dance and art with an event that welcomes everybody to central Finland, Jyväskylä on 12.-13.4.2024 The event includes dance jam with battles, live performance, dance workshop and art exhibition. We wanted to contact you to let you know that the Art Exhibition Open call is now open!
We are looking for TWO artists: one video artist and one visual artist to be part of the SolidArt Fest in Jyväskylä 2024. The call is specifically targeted towards young aspiring or professional artists aged 18-29, located in Jyväskylä. The theme of the Open call is movement in solidarity. It can be part of the events dance theme or entirely something else, up to you!
The Open call closes thursday 28.3.2024, midnight 00:00. Each of the artists gets a 150e compensation. The exhibition will be at Lähde, University campus and approximately two weeks around the event.
