Seven years of being married to my best friend. One post simply cannot express all the adventures we’ve had, all the lessons we’ve learned and continue to learn, all the highs and the lows. But how grateful I am to be doing this crazy life with you, honeybun 💛. God placed us together with purpose, to magnify and glorify His name, to sharpen us as iron sharpens iron, to strengthen our relationship with Him as we learn to mirror Christ & His Church through our marriage. *HE’S MAKING POOLS IN THE DESERT* > This season of my life has been a tough one; I have found myself in a space I had never anticipated being in. Some days I feel good & ready to take on any obstacles that present themselves. Other days it takes every fiber of my being to get up & face the world. I’ve felt lonely; missing my parents, my brother, more family, & some of my closest friends. I’ve had moments deep in anxiety, fear, doubt, & sadness. Some days have left me with so many questions: “how did I get here? What have I done to allow this? God, why? Will this ever pass & will I ever feel like myself again?” The battle in the mind is no joke, & I have now learned this first hand. If you are in a similar season, please…PLEASE know that you are not alone. It may feel like it & that feeling may want to drive us to isolate ourselves even more. But will you join me in pushing forward regardless? Some days it might feel like a piece of cake & others it may be a struggle, but you have someone right here who is pushing with you. As I remind myself of these truths, I pray they serve as reminders to you as well: •God will never leave nor forsake us •Nothing/no one can snatch us from His mighty hand •Nothing/no one can separate us from the love of our Heavenly Father •He is a GOOD Father, & He will work it all for our good •We may still be in the trial today, tomorrow or the day after that, but He is making pools in the desert, bringing refreshing in just the right times. My brothers and sisters, we are STILL LOVED even through our struggles. Joy will come in the morning. He said it. He will do it. You are not alone. Lord, help us. Those of us who have found ourselves in trial & tribulation in this season, God I pray that You remind us of the covenant you made with us & that You help us in times of fear and doubt. Fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding & drive out our fears with Your love. We are weak without You; Father, be our strength. Thank You, because even when we don’t feel it…You are right here with us. Thank you because when our minds are filled with doubting and questions, Your Truth remains strong and unmovable.🙏
