🚨 UPDATE 🚨: solaura is returning in 2025!
We're just a little bummed to let you know we won't be hosting Solaura this year! Instead, we're looking at returning in Oct 2025 after a long and relaxing year off 🥰
Solaura has been hosted by the same core team ever since our second year: Alex, Elena, Jonathan, and myself! It's a year-round project from Feb - Nov annually, and though it's been immensely fulfilling, we're still humans after all 🏃♂️🏃♂️
After six years straight, we need a break to recharge and come back energized and ready to rock! Plus, we've got a lot of weddings to hit up this fall 👀

it’s officially been a week since solaura festival 2023 came to a close. we’ve rested, reflected, and integrated, and we have to say that solaura year six was everything we could have dreamed of and more ❤️

SOLAURA FESTIVAL 2023 BEGINS TOMORROW! 🌞🪩
after months of planning, an unexpected venue change, and long days of build under the mendocino sun, we're so excited to kick off solaura 2023!
some important updates and reminders:
⛺️ car camping at the new venue is EXTREMELY limited. we strongly recommend tent camping – the parking lot is also only a 3-minute walk from the main campsite!
🍽 expect several delicious free food pop-ups throughout the weekend from our stellar all-stars – bring your own dishes and utensils!
👒 the costume closet will be open starting saturday afternoon in the main village. bring your gently-loved clothes to donate and swap with fellow solaurians!

not on the official lineup this year? there’s still a chance to grace the stage at solaura with DECENTERED OPEN MIC! 🎤✨
we’re thrilled to welcome back DECENTERED OPEN MIC to their second solaura. hosted by liz and theory, DECENTERED is a weekly bay area staple, usually hosted on sundays at @thecentersf . they champion accessibility to the arts with their multi-genre open mic - bringing together a motley crew of poets, musicians and visual artists ✍️🎹🎨
whether you’re a seasoned performer or a socially anxious newbie, DECENTERED will fight for you 💪show us what you’ve got, sunday 11am - 2pm at solaura 2023!

solaura has been esha’s community playground for years, since her first solaura in 2019. she went from being a teardown volunteer to helping organize the festival itself. you’ve seen her DJ, host a dating show, bring in comedians, organize volunteers, and vibe out during set-up. this year, she’s been helping our all-star experiences come to life. she’s so hype to return to the place it all started for her - mendocino magic 🌞✨

ERIC LONG’s music is fundamentally folk, with deep ties to early country, roots and blues music – his songs are occasionally funny, often rich with depth, and always entertaining. his sound is as natural and replenishing as the rain, and whether it be under twinkling stars or over coffee in the high sierra, the trust he garners is immediate 💫🏔
