YAPP SESH BEWARE, ABANDON A HOPE YE WHO READS:
There where so many better concepts I could have used for Mizuto but i went with a snowy hotsprings scene because I thought it would be simpler to start with, then I realized the problem, I dont really draw nature scenes, even worse, I didnt actually understand how to paint, like AT ALL, so i had to try to learn, ambient light, bounce light, sunlight, warm and cool colors... GREYS, GREYS ARE THE SECRET TO LIFE I'M TELLING U.
Oh and the water, I wasnt satisfied with making it purely opaque as i thought i couldnt make that style work, so i went out into nature and observed water which helped me learn a technique to make the water look passable, all to see if it was realistically possible to hide his dih with skylight I could sayy theres nothing there but u would never know 😏...
I would love to draw more of him in the future, but with ACTUAL cool samurai scenes 😭 , i need to find the secret of his paradoxical magic sash that he has over his shoulders.
The sword designs were really fun to do, those where custom made by a legendery blacksmith (me ofc hehe), i thought it would be cool to for them to have slightly different designs as well, one more matching his color scheme, and the other just badass red, and my head cannon is that mizuto would have some chest scars so i drew those too.
