Everyone talks about Trinidad, Spicemas, and Crop Over but the carnival world is so much bigger than that🌴
From the US Virgin Islands to Atlanta to Houston to the Eastern Caribbean there are carnivals happening all year that deserve their flowers.
St. Thomas Carnival alone is 74 years old and still criminally underrated. And Atlanta has been holding it down for 39 years.
Which one surprised you the most? And which one are you adding to your list? 👇

The Caribbean is one of the most beautiful regions on earth but it is also one of the most economically complex🌴💰
These are the true top 10 richest Caribbean nations ranked by GDP per capita according to the IMF World Economic Outlook 2026. No popularity bias. Just the data.
One thing worth acknowledging: GDP per capita is an average. It does not tell you how that wealth is actually distributed or whether everyday citizens are feeling it. Inequality, corruption and mismanagement mean that in many of these nations the numbers at the top do not reflect the reality on the ground for most
Also worth noting Jamaica, one of the most recognizable Caribbean islands in the world, ranks 13th by this measure. St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Dominica and Suriname all rank higher by the IMF data.
The Caribbean is rich in far more ways than any economic data can capture🌴

Jamaica Carnival 2026 just wrapped and if you spent this week watching the videos wishing you were there this post is for you 🇯🇲🌴
The road. The fetes. The costumes. The energy of Kingston during carnival week. There is genuinely nothing like it.
The good news? Jamaica Carnival 2027 is coming. And the people who go every single year are already planning.
This is your sign to be one of them.
