Honoring and reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a life devoted to advancing justice, unity, and love. May we carry those values with us, always.

The holidays may have wrapped, but our tree isn’t quite ready to clock out yet. With the rain easing up and the sun finally making an appearance, we’re soaking in a few more days of sparkle before saying goodbye to it. Cheers to brighter skies, a calendar full of exciting events ahead, and a happy new year from all of us at The Beehive. ✨🌧️☀️
From The Beehive to everyone who comes through: Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad and Happy Holidays. Grateful for every person who gathers, grows, and builds community here. You are what makes The Beehive home. 💫🎄🙏🏽
✨👏🏾 SoLa’s 60th Street Cafe @60thstreetcafe is a new student-run cafe and culinary training program at The Beehive (SoLa’s 92,000 sq ft. cultural campus in South Central). The program provides food access to the community while confronting workforce inequity head-on.
Every meal served supports local students as they build careers in food/hospitality and bring affordable meals to their neighbors 💛 All cafe profits go directly back into workforce programs that uplift the community @60thstreetcafe 🙌🏾

A bright light has set today.
Dr. @janegoodallinst — a conservationist, educator, friend of all living things, and a force for good in the world, passed away today at the age of 91.
Dr. Goodall’s connection to South Los Angeles ran deep. In 1991, she launched her very first youth education program right here in South LA, alongside a parallel initiative in Tanzania, East Africa. She intentionally chose our community to demonstrate that young people could be trailblazers and leaders of meaningful change, regardless of their circumstances. That program grew into “Roots & Shoots,” now active in over 60 countries.
Dr. Goodall became a dear friend of the Beehive. She poured into our youth, supported our work, and we were honored to welcome her into our space.
Her legacy inspires us to care for community, protect the earth like it’s the only home we got, and to keep pushing for a world rooted in love, respect, connection and realness.
Fly high, Dr. Jane Goodall.
Thank you for shining your light on us all.✨🌍🌱
