Ze zit anders in haar celloconcerten, de grote stukken, dan voorheen, laat topcelliste Sol Gabetta ons weten. ‘Ik voel me zekerder, met meer durf. Dat komt door de ervaring, het vertrouwen op je eigen mening en interpretatie.’
Deze week soleert ze in het opwindende Eerste celloconcert van Martinů bij het @concertgebouworkest . ‘Er is niets wat Martinů niet uitbuit op de cello. Alles zit erin!’ 🌞 De topcelliste sprak openhartig met ons over de ‘zonnige, lichte’ klank van het orkest en over eerlijk spelen zonder compromissen. Link in bio!

Se Sol Gabettou jsme Elgarův violoncellový koncert hráli nejdříve doma v Praze a pak v Bruselu, Hamburku, Dortmundu, Lucemburku, Kolíně nad Rýnem, Düsseldorfu a Erlangenu. 🎵
Na základě těchto zkušeností jsme v unikátní pozici prozradit vám, že její interpretace tohoto koncertu je bezkonkurenční. 💙

Die Festivalwoche im Februar und März stand im Zeichen intensiver musikalischer Begegnungen und gemeinsamer Experimente. Die Bilder zeigen einen Rückblick auf diese Tage.
Doch ein letzter Akzent folgt noch: Am 23. April kehrt Sol Gabetta zurück – mit dem Czech Philharmonic, dirigiert von Semyon Bychkov. Auf dem Programm steht u. a. Edward Elgars Cellokonzert.

The festival week in February and March was marked by intense musical encounters and collaborative experiments. The pictures offer a look back at those days.
But there is one final highlight to come: on 23 April, Sol Gabetta returns – with the Czech Philharmonic, conducted by Semyon Bychkov. The programme includes Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto.

Roli sólisty vnímá jako roli tlumočníka, který interpretuje a komunikuje dílo. Má ráda, když publikum přichází na koncerty s otevřenýma ušima – a blízký je jí i Elgarův Koncert pro violoncello, který jejímu nástroji dává prostor zazářit. 🎶
Máme za sebou týden se Sol Gabettou, během kterého nám „přetlumočila“ právě tento Elgarův koncert. Otevřené uši měl celý sál a violoncello opravdu zářilo. ☀️🌟

She sees soloists as interpreters who communicate compositions, prefers when the audience comes to concerts with open ears – and she enjoys playing Elgar's cello concerto, which gives her instrument the space to shine. 🎶
We’ve just spent a week with Sol Gabetta, during which she “translated” this very Elgar concerto for us. The entire hall was listening with open ears – and the cello truly shone. ☀️🌟
