@apobroche im so proud of you. im posting those beautiful install photos mixed with videos of work in progress to show how many thoughts, doubts, dust, physical work, time, hopes, sleepless nights, joy and worries are there behind each of those amazing pieces. im honoured to stand by your side. your progress got a speed of a sport car and the emotions you put in could fill the lake. thank you for this. @marianneboeskygallery it’s been incredible, thank you! production powered by @giardini.studios
Mathilde Albouy’s @mathildealbouy sculptures at “Io contengo moltitudini” exhibition create a surreal, slightly unsettling playground where childhood objects appear distorted and strangely alive. Her works explore the space between play and discomfort inviting viewers into a world where scale, memory and imagination collide.
An oversized hair clip becomes a performative figure while a two-headed rocking horse suggests something monstrous yet familiar. Placed directly on the floor the sculptures take on a life of their own blurring the line between object and character.
These and other works by Giardini Studios artists are on view at Villa La Versiliana @versilianafestival until August 30.
Please join us tonight from 18:00 - 22:00 for the opening of “The Mouth of the Vase,” a solo exhibition by @mathildealbouy produced by and in collaboration with @giardini.studios
Sofya Simakova @sofya_simakova , Managing Director and Curator of Giardini Studios, for Il Giornale dell’Arte @ilgiornaledellarte :
“I dream that our studios will grow into a large community – a place that attracts artists from all over the world. We are working to become strong partners for museums and institutions and to support our artists’ exhibitions not only creatively but also on the production and organisational level. And of course I would love to curate more and more exhibitions – it’s what I enjoy doing the most”.
