This is our only LA show for 2026 and it’s gonna be about 90 minutes of music and a lot of rambling about the last year, the stories of these songs and weak attempts at comedy.

Tonight is the night. I put three more tickets in the store cause a couple people I listed can’t make it, so have at those if you want to come. Small intimate setting and I will probably talk too much and maybe even cry.
If you bought tickets, the location is in your email. There has been mention of concern about someone coming and trying something stupid. I will vaguely state that “extremely adequate security measures” have been taken. Today will not be your day.

Gotten a few messages about the origin of this EP. Tracks 1-4 were originally intended as the a side of the follow up LP to “Escape Forever”. Five months prior to my arrest I was locked out of all SK social media and bank accounts, effectively being robbed of all my September 2024 tour profits as well. A huge chunk of my record collection amongst other items was also “thrown away” and all I could think to do was take my stepfathers $99 dollar Jackson V and write “There’s Nothing Here Anymore”.
This was a eulogy of sorts to the joy of this project, which had all but been completely lost at the end of 2022. Writing “Metta…” and “Escape Forever” definitely kept my creative spirit alive, but the change of scenery in the van and those around me left me feeling like the leader instead of a member of this brotherhood we had built touring relentlessly from 2015-2022.
I let this happen to people I loved and ultimately that played a huge role in letting this happen to me. Being broke and on drugs for so many years created a very self absorbed version of myself once I could eat in excess from my art.
The live members who came into this 2023 to 2024 had impossible shoes to fill. There were moments where we sounded the best we ever had but things were beyond repair and we were at the mercy of someone more selfish than I could ever dream of being. There were some absolutely perfect moments: both shows in October of 2023, the April 2024 run, all of Mexico and Central America and SATX & St Louis in Dec 2024 were some of the best shows we ever played.
The irony of tracks 1-4 is that I desperately was shaping this LP in hopes of a 2025 release because my revenue stream had been stolen and mediation to resolve this was going nowhere. I was told these songs were lacking and that no one needed a new album… that we had reached a peak and this was on its way out.
There’s some context for you. I feel an incredible weight lifted having now given these to the world and am ready for the next album. Today I love this more than I ever have and feel remarkably blessed for whoever is still tuning in despite the fairytales incredibly sick people want you to believe.

I just put the last 10 (!!!) tickets for the Chicago gig in the store. This is your last chance for this one and I’m really excited to perform these songs, some of which I’ve never touched in a live setting before.
I am packing the outstanding “Dancing On Glass” tees as we speak, alongside the hand drawn WIB LPs. @disorderdesignco will have the “Choke” hoodies to me this week or so and they’ll go once in hand. All the black “Hearst” crews and tees shipped and the white ones will be printed and go out once the “Feel This High” 12”s are in hand. Things are going slow but they are happening and I really appreciate the patience and support.
I get a lot of emails from people asking where things the purchased from the store linked to the softkillpdx IG account. The “artist” known as Reko Case has dedicated a lot of energy to smearing my name while pocketing thousands of dollars from people who think it’s going to me. If you reach out directly she will block you. I have not had any access to that store since September 2024 and I wish the dozens of screenshots I’ve posted the last couple months would sway people into understanding who this person is and how their criticisms are clearly projection of crimes they themselves are committing. If you’ve been burned by that other store please leave a comment below so people can see that I’m not a crazy rambling at the bus stop (…yet).
This and everything to do with it has been so bad for my mental health, which is struggling significantly. I don’t know how much longer I will continue on trying to do this “band” but I feel tethered to its existence for a myriad of reasons. Most importantly this has been where I’ve shared my story and pain for many years, but my life has begun to be centered around much better things and circumstances and sometimes doing this feels like I’m choosing the chaos over much needed peace.
Regardless, an album is nearing completion and will be sent to mix soon. It would be presumptuous and dramatic for me to call it my last but it’s hard to see much happening past that. Only time will tell.
