THE LONG GOODBYE: Think about how at airports you can’t tell what’s hello and what’s goodbye. An open embrace signals both welcome and departure. Faced with possibly having to leave America ( before I received me greencard) I needed to make peace with goodbye.
Inspired by the archive of espionage images in 1970-
I photographed embrace at LAX, JFK, LGA + and attempted at understanding goodbye.
