Here’s our itinerary for the perfect day trip in Bridgehampton with kids! ⬇️ 1️⃣ Drive out to the @childrensmuseumoftheeastend where you can explore 7,000 square feet of fun exhibits designed for kids ages 0-7. Exhibits include their new 10,000 square foot outdoor play space featuring climbing, swinging & spinning areas, as well as sand play & a forest, an indoor play space, their Seafaring Ship + Fire truck, their farm stand + food truck, rainbow garden, plus a 9 hole mini golf course. 🎟️Entry is $19/pp or free for kids under 1. A museum pass from your local library would gain you free entry, as well! 2️⃣ Stop in town for lunch at the @bridgehamptoncandykitchen . This spot was kid-friendly, fun & they’ve been serving up delicious food & homemade ice cream since 1925!🍦 3️⃣ Visit the @thequoguewildliferefuge , a 305 acre non-profit nature preserve that is completely FREE + open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset. Sunday, May 10, 9:30-11:30 am Location: Big Reed Pond, Montauk Length: 3 miles Join the Montauk Library Bird Club on a spring migration walk exploring the woodlands and wetlands of Big Reed Pond, led by Frank Quevedo. May is peak migration, making this a perfect opportunity to observe warblers, vireos, and resident marsh birds. We will focus on identifying birds by sight and song. This will be a moderate-paced 3-mile hike. All experience levels are welcome. This event is free for adults and children ages 10+. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. Please wear tick and sun protection. Co-sponsored by the Montauk Library Bird Club, South Fork Natural History Museum, and Third House Nature Center. Limited to 30 participants.
