MORDAZ es un intento de su realizador, Clio, por apoyar a Estefano, joven chileno encarcelado por defender su vida de un ataque transfóbico. A través de distintos registros y archivos, tanto personales como del caso de Estefano, Clio indaga en el quehacer documental, su propio género, y cómo la violencia sistémica atraviesa de lo institucional a lo íntimo. MORDAZ is an attempt by its director, Clio, to support Estefano, a young Chilean man incarcerated for defending his life from a transphobic attack. Through a variety of personal and case-related archives, Clio explores the practice of documentary filmmaking, their own gender, and how systemic violence permeates from the institutional to the intimate.
