a month ago today, my grandfather, Edward Campanella, passed away.
he was a force. the person who showed me The Godfather when I was nine, opening my eyes to the world of storytelling I’ve been chasing ever since. many think of a mafia movie at a glance with that film — it is. but with it comes a family, blood and chosen. how loyalty will always follow, and my grandfather taught me that in many ways.
a force ill always feel.
still insanely surreal to have worked on this as my first show for the last year, with the best team there is. these four women are otherworldly, the ones who made the word. it’s finally here :,)
@onestoryup & @imagineentertainment , the team of a lifetime, thank you for letting me be a part of it.
Watch on @appletv , The Super Models on Sept. 20th !!
My senior thesis: Experimental short film “Enchante Isolée” demonstrates my memories that have prompted the end of certain stages of my life, the introduction of an unfamiliar journey, and the chase a future I am always one step behind of.
A continuous cycle of my unique beginnings and ends.
This cycle is something I discovered throughout my unfaltering growth as “my” person. Growing tired of the multiple set patterns, I realized a new story can start as a past one concludes: a story ends as the future begins.
The beginning is just as exciting as the end- it’s the repetitive adventure in the middle that defines “my” cycle.
