A venue is so much more than a location. It is a feeling, an essence, an experience.
A space that becomes infused with every personal detail and thoughtful layer of a story. A place that gathers your humans, holds space for memories and forever becomes a part of the moments lived there.
But a venue is also something else entirely.
It is never defined by architecture alone. It is a living space, shaped and nurtured by the people who steward it — the ones who maintain its gardens, preserve its architecture, curate its collections and hold its spirit with intention.
And when the right team gathers within those walls, something remarkable happens. Planners, designers, photographers, culinary artists, musicians alike — arriving not simply to fulfill a role, but to contribute their artistry with intention. That is where the alchemy of this industry lives. A constant reminder to me that the most meaningful celebrations are never created alone, and that they are shaped by these humans long before a celebration ever arrives.
Some places make that experience even more profound.
@chateau_de_villette , part of
@theheritagecollection , is one of those rare places for me. Over the last few years, building a relationship with Irene, Eli and Sofia — the beautiful souls behind these remarkable properties — has been a privilege. Their devotion to the spirit of these estates is inspiring.
The château itself is a work of art.
But even more extraordinary are the people that bring it to life. You feel it in every space.
I hope you enjoy this handful of images I captured from my latest visit. They bring me so much joy.
