Las ranas son criaturas de la tierra. Una lluvia de ellos podría ser una metáfora del retorno de lo reprimido: una avalancha de miedos, instintos o culpas que han sido lanzados desde un lugar alto de vuelta al individuo.
La lluvia de ranas es poderosa: fusiona lo absurdo con lo racional, sugiriendo una profunda sensación de desorden, agobio, presagio y el violento regreso a lo reprimido.

This piece is the product of the collaboration of many dear friends who have been given to me by the world of glass. Thank you for the orange glass, dear Vittorio Bertuzzi, a true antique gem. Thank you Esteban Salazar and Dylan Levesh-Raabe, for blowing the roundels for me, at the best glassmaker in the world, Pilchuck Glass School. Thank you Alejandro Badillos for lending me the kiln to fire the pieces. Here is a step-by-step guide to my latest work, "Rain of Frogs."
Frogs are creatures of the earth. A rain of them could be a metaphor for the return of the repressed: an avalanche of fears, instincts, or guilt that have been hurled from a high place back at the individual.
The rain of frogs is powerful: it fuses the absurd with the rational, suggesting a profound sense of disorder, overwhelm, foreboding, and the violent return of the repressed.
